I remember tiptoeing across the courtyard because the marble floor was burning my feet. No one else was out there, obviously, because they all had more sense than me.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe red brick is accurate to what’s actually there, but I made the background this soft pink to capture what it \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003efelt\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e like to be in that space as a child and I’m trying to translate the simmering heat of that moment. It’s how the memory lives in me, if that makes sense.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe geometric patterns, the dome, the minaret all of it, I loved. The Golden Dome became my best seller and I still love it, but this one holds something special because of the colours.
